How to Make a Video using Windows Movie Maker – Part 1

Author: Marie | Filed under: How to Video

This is a 2 part video showing you how easy it is to make a video using Windows Movie Maker (usually comes installed in Your PC). You will need:

- microphone/headset – to record your audio
- pictures (you will use for your video) YES, you can make a video even if you do not have a video camera!
- background music (if you choose to use some). Make sure to use “royalty free” music – you can do a Google search for that. It usually costs some money. You should be using royalty free music if you are sharing your videos in Youtube.

Here are steps mentioned in this first video:
1) Place all your pictures you want to use for your video in one folder.
2) Place your background music in the same folder.
3) Record your audio. I use Audacity (a free software you can download) to record my audios. You can download Audacity at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/. Save that recorded audio file in the same folder.
4) Open up Audacity again and merge your audio with your background music. You may need to watch the video closely on how I do this. Save this “new audio file” as an mp3 in the same folder.

PS – Looking for an inexpensive microphone/headset, try Cyber AcousticsStereo Headset/Microphone, Ambidextrous design AC-201
