Creating information products is an easy way to get started as an internet marketer. One of the most popular forms of information products is the ebook. An ebook can be any length; some are around 50 pages and some are over 200 pages. Ebooks are popular because the person buying the book can, usually, download it right after they buy it. There is no waiting for the book to be shipped. Even traditional book outlets, such as Amazon, now carry ebooks.
You can create an ebook around any topic. If you already have a website filled with content, think about what your target market would more information on. If you fill your ebook with quality information, people will be willing to pay for it. The average person does not have a lot of free time; in many cases they would rather pay to have all the information they are looking for in one place than search throughout the internet to locate bits and pieces of the information on various web pages.
Once you decide the topic of your ebook, you will need to plan your content. Breaking the work up into tiny bits will make the process easier. If you are planning to have a 50 page ebook, think of it as 50 articles. If you can write 5 articles a day, you can create your ebook in 10 days. If you want to work at a slower pace, try writing 2 articles a day; you will still have created an ebook in less than a month.
You can write your ebook in any word processing software, but to make sure anyone who buys it will be able to read it, you will want to convert the file into a pdf before you publish it. Anyone who downloads a free copy of Adobe Reader will be able to read a pdf file. There are various places on the web that will allow you to convert your file into a pdf for free (try Google docs).
If you choose, you can sell your ebook through a retailer that specializes in digital products, such as Clickbank. You can set up an account for under $50. Clickbank has a virtual army of affiliates, and their affiliates can promote your book. You will need to determine how much commission you are willing to offer them. You can also set up your own affiliate program. This will give you a bit more control of your product, as you will know which affiliates are promoting the book and can contact them.
Another option is to give your ebook away for free. This can help drive traffic to your site; this is also a great way to build a mailing list. Your mailing list will be full of people that are interested in a given topic, and you can send that list mailings about other products you are an affiliate for.

1I love creating ebooks. I have been doing it for quite some time now, and I have to say that writing them is definitely my passion. I just love educating people on stuff through the power of ebooks.
I am currently working on a project called, “Ebook By Blog”, which is an ebook made from a Wordpress blog platform.
The reason why I am telling you about this, is to show people who visit this blog that you can create an ebook from a blog, and I am doing it right now.
Ebooks are excellent tools for success online because they allow you to establish yourself as the obvious expert in your field. Also, they are great educational tools as well
I strongly encourage anyone to write their own ebook and either give it away just as I am doing here, or sell it online. It doesn’t take any kind of rocket scientist to be able to create an ebook. It is really easy to do. However, you must commit to action and you must be willing to do the work that is involved.
Other than that, creating ebooks is really a lot of fun..

2Thank you for the tips and information.
I am currently writing my first eBook. It’s been a little daunting. I really like your idea about breaking it into smaller bits to get it completed.
Keep up the good work!
