Those who own a blog or website probably know that the more entries or articles that you write and add to your site/blog, the more traffic you will see in your site/blog. It doesn’t matter if it’s a featured article in your site, a blog entry or a press release - the more articles there are out there about your site, the more people will know that your site exists.
We always hear that “Content is King”. The more informative the articles are in a site, the more the visitors will frequent the site. Continue to add articles and other information to your site or blog and the search engines will continue to bring traffic to your site/blog. Search engines are known for loving content.
If you write your own articles, don’t forget to submit them to article directories. Other website owners are always looking for fresh content they can add to their own sites. This is a wonderful way for you to get some link back to your site. Just make sure to include your website information and URL in the resource box of your article/s. Your article will be exposed to so many readers and will offer great visibility for your expertise and website.
If you are the type who enjoys writing, consider blogging. Make sure to update your blog often - blog several times a week. Your entries will establish you as an expert in your field and your readers will know to visit your site for more information on topics that you touch on.
Don’t forget the press release. A press release is a way to get free publicity through the media. You can post your press release in your own site or blog, submit them to your local paper or media and even submit them to online press release distribution places.
Writing your press release for the very first time, may be scary but don’t fret. you can always hire a professional to write your press release for you or if you want to give it a try, below are some basic items that you would need to include in your press release. Include your name, URL, address and phone number at the top of the page. The words “press release” should be centered, in bold, and in all capital letters under that. Below that, print the name of the person you want the press release to go to, and the release date for the information. If the information can be released at any time, you can use the words “for immediate release”. Give your press release a title, and below that include the “who, what, where, when and why”. At the end of your press release, include three # symbols, centered directly underneath the last line. If possible, print your press release on letterhead that displays your business name and logo.
